  18. Could be a handshaking problem with the serial cable, but its more likely 
  19. a deficiency in your serial card or its UART.  Check to make sure you 
  20. have a 16550 or 16550A or the like.
  21. If you don't, lowering your DTE rate to 19200 may fix the problem, 
  22. although the speed may not be optimal.
